In gtk2 applications, when the mouse pointer is over a point where one can click and drag to resize columns or panels, the pointer changes to a set of parallel lines with arrows pointing in the direction I can move it. I find this handy to know where to grab to move things around.

In gtk3 applications, I get no visual indication that I am over these points. This makes it difficult to find these locations. Is there a way to re-enable this behavior? Or is this just another "improvement" in modern desktops like the overlay scrollbars that I already figured out how to disable.

I am running XFCE and have the Default mouse theme selected. Choosing a different theme, or using MATE instead, restores the behavior I expect.
