switched from arch to gentoo, under arch i could use fn+insert or touchpad click to resume/wakeup from suspend.
tried kernel 4.4.39, 4.8.15 and 4.9.0 (genkernel default + nvme support)
also tried to enable anything *dell* in menuconfg
Code: | zcat /proc/config.gz | grep -iE "wmi|dell"
CONFIG_SENSORS_DELL_SMM=m
CONFIG_SND_RAWMIDI=m
CONFIG_SND_RAWMIDI_SEQ=m
CONFIG_LEDS_DELL_NETBOOKS=m
# CONFIG_ACER_WMI is not set
# CONFIG_ALIENWARE_WMI is not set
CONFIG_DELL_SMBIOS=m
CONFIG_DELL_LAPTOP=m
CONFIG_DELL_WMI=m
CONFIG_DELL_WMI_AIO=m
CONFIG_DELL_SMO8800=m
CONFIG_DELL_RBTN=m
# CONFIG_HP_WMI is not set
CONFIG_ACPI_WMI=m
# CONFIG_MSI_WMI is not set
# CONFIG_TOSHIBA_WMI is not set
CONFIG_MXM_WMI=m

acpi_listen reports sleepbutton as:
Code: | acpi_listen
button/sleep SBTN 00000080 00000000
button/sleep PNP0C0E:00 00000080 00000001
|
contend of /proc/acpi/wakeup
Code: | Device S-state Status Sysfs node

You shuold reuse the arch linux settings. Than optimize these configs
kernel-config
userspace tools and configs
--
The positive thing, it works for arch linux.
--
Some items are hidden in staging sections, or locked down by other menu items and not that visible in the first place.
e.g.
Code: | lsmod
lsusb
lspci
zcat /proc/config.gz
