I'm using MATE 1.12.1 with the "TraditionalOK" theme (although, full disclosure, I checked out all the themes provided by the standard installation before deciding on one — I don't know if elements from one theme can accidentally "bleed into" another).

When beginning a drag-and-drop operation in Caja [MATE's file manager] in the file-list view, a "wash of color" sweeps down the file-list pane in a fraction of a second. I find this very annoying and want to disable just that one effect.

Does anyone know how to do this — or know the "proper" terminology to describe the effect so I can Google for help about it?

(When I used to use the Gnome desktop, I noticed the same effect [in Nautilus] in the default theme, so I changed to a simpler [and, turns out, faster] theme that didn't do that. Unfortunately, the TraditionalOK theme seems to be the fastest theme for me in MATE, so I'd like to keep if if I can.)
