the ebuild always aborts with this error:

One possible cause is version of libcec you have installed (see bug).
Another cause is upgrade of gcc from 4 to 5, in this case read here _________________ Questions are guaranteed in life; Answers aren't. |

thx for the hints, but i already checked the bugs: i have dev-libs/libcec-4.0.0_p3::gentoo and dev-libs/libplatform-2.1.0.1::gentoo
it's am ~amd64-system - i use gcc-5.4.0 for everything. do you think kodi-16.1 can be compiled with that version and kodi-17 fails with it?
THX for your help! _________________ DUMM KLICKT GUT. |

Only for test try to compile kodi without use flag cec, just to see if problem is libcec. _________________ Questions are guaranteed in life; Answers aren't. |

i solved the problem - it was my mistake.
after thoroughly checking for libcec i discovered that there was an ancient version (from kodi-15-sth) manually installed in parallel in /usr/local. it had never interfered before, but i removed it and re-installed libcec from portage et voila! i run kodi-17 now.
THX for your help!
