on my ~amd64 media-tv/kodi-17.0_beta6::gentoo fails to build.
the ebuild always aborts with this error:
Code:
&& cp SmartPlaylistFileItemListModifier.d SmartPlaylistFileItemListModifier.P && sed -e 's/#.*//' -e 's/^[^:]*: *//' -e 's/ *\\$//' -e '/^$/ d' -e 's/$/ :/' < SmartPlaylistFileItemListModifier.d >> SmartPlaylistFileItemListModifier.P && rm -f SmartPlaylistFileItemListModifier.d || ( rm -f SmartPlaylistFileItemListModifier.P SmartPlaylistFileItemListModifier.o && exit 1 )
x86_64-pc-linux-gnu-ar crs playlists.a PlayListB4S.o PlayList.o PlayListFactory.o PlayListM3U.o PlayListPLS.o PlayListURL.o PlayListWPL.o PlayListXML.o SmartPlayList.o SmartPlaylistFileItemListModifier.o
make[1]: Verzeichnis »/var/tmp/portage/media-tv/kodi-17.0_beta6/work/xbmc-17.0b6-Krypton/xbmc/playlists« wird verlassen

One possible cause is version of libcec you have installed (see bug).
Another cause is upgrade of gcc from 4 to 5, in this case read here

thx for the hints, but i already checked the bugs: i have dev-libs/libcec-4.0.0_p3::gentoo and dev-libs/libplatform-2.1.0.1::gentoo
it's am ~amd64-system - i use gcc-5.4.0 for everything. do you think kodi-16.1 can be compiled with that version and kodi-17 fails with it?
THX for your help!

Only for test try to compile kodi without use flag cec, just to see if problem is libcec.

i solved the problem - it was my mistake.
after thoroughly checking for libcec i discovered that there was an ancient version (from kodi-15-sth) manually installed in parallel in /usr/local. it had never interfered before, but i removed it and re-installed libcec from portage et voila! i run kodi-17 now.
THX for your help!
