The file /etc/conf.d/net used to hold a fair amount of useful net configuration information,
but it's no longer part of the standard Stage 3. Does anyone know where the information
has gone? The handbook deals with the basic install, but goes no further.

/usr/share/doc/netifrc-0.5.1/net.example.bz2
Back when this was in /etc/conf.d, I believe it was always named net.example, not merely net.

Thanks, once I got some time online I found it in the obvious place:
/usr/share/doc/netifrc-0.5.1/net.example.bz2
which is in fact documented somewhere in the Gentoo manuals (I lost
track of which page).
