After struggling with this i think i finally found a solution to not pull in gnome-keyring with chromium.

If this file exists in your system it dosen't matter if you set -gnome-keyring in make.conf. You cannot uninstall gnome-keyring.
in chromium 56 ebuild, in section. We have.
src_prepare() {

I got an glib:error on chromium-56 after many tries to uninstall gnome-keyring and could not start it. So i decided to make a fresh install of chromium.

I checked package.use for strange flags.

I removed chromium from world file and did a deep-clean. And gnome-keyring,pinentry,libsecret,gnupg get cleaned from system.

I removed chromium from /home.cache and /home/.config/chromium.

And i reboot and installed a fresh chromium again on my xfce4 with -gnome-keyring in make.conf and gnome-gvfs -gnome-keyring in package.use(libsecret removed)

And gnome-keyring not pulled in by chromium.

emerge -s gnome-keyring
