Any tips on how to get kopete working under KDE5?

I need kalarm / korganizer and unfortunately these pull in the kde5 pim dependencies. These conflict with the kde4 pim lib deps that kopete introduces.

Is there an overlay with kde5 kopete port? Any dependency magic I try? Any options at all?

Forget it, it does not work. KDE overlay currently has a pull request for kopete:5, but so far it plain simple doesn't work: https://github.com/gentoo/kde/pull/828

If you depend on kopete, your only option is to stay with KDE PIM 4.

PS: There's no KDE5.

Thanks for the reply. Not what I wanted to hear, but I guess it saves me some time trying to make it work when it can't.

Any suggestions as to what I could use instead of kopete under Plasma 5? The most important feature I want is the ability to import all of the kopete chat history and for the chat history to be kept in a reasonably plain format that can be viewed using a normal text editor. I don't want the data "trapped" inside a database.

I find the user interface of telepathy pathetic - pun intended. It really is hard to work it when compared to kopete.

I guess you'll have to make yourself comfortable with plasma-telepathy, I'm not aware of an other IM importing kopete data.
