I was trying to use solarized with tmux based on the following instructions:

https://github.com/altercation/solarized/tree/master/tmux

But the changed setting would never take effect regardless of whether or not I put the .conf in the user directory or Global. I think this may be because it is Byobu that is pulling in tmux for me.

So after some hunting around I see there is a .byobu config directory in my home directory. However, all of the config files are using a different naming convention and format than the tmux tutorial indicates.

I am also assuming it is the byobu config that the settings are being pulled from because there isn't any tmux config at this point.

Is there a way to configure byobu? Or am I on totally the wrong path and should still be fighting tmux. Thanks
