I am using dolphin to browse files on a remote ssh server and copy files to/from my local pc. This has worked very well in the past. Unfortunately, since two weeks, I can only browse the files on the server once after I start my pc. The second time the it hangs at "loading folder", never finishing. There are no error messages, neither by popup nor on the terminal.

Does anyone have an idea what could be the root cause of this problem?

Gh0str1d3r ...

possibly 'ServerAliveInterval' (see: 'man ssh_config'), you could try the following:

~/.ssh/config:
Host *
  ServerAliveInterval 120

What, if any, ssh_config directives do you have that apply to the affected host? What do you do that separates the "first time" from the "second time"? Do you close Dolphin? Is it time based? Is it only after your machine suspends and later resumes? What if you run the carrier ssh with one or more -v options?

Yes, that was the trick, thanks.

@Hu: The ssh_config listed the server ip and the key file. It did not matter if I closed dolphin or not, only rebooting the pc would help.
