My ~amd64 box just updated to dev-libs/icu-58.1, and now firefox and gnome-shell both crash upon launch. Gnome-shell says the following (Valgrind):
Code:

The backtraces look pretty much identical. These apps also use the same (Mozilla) javascript engine: when gnome-shell crashes, dmesg reports a segfault at 0 in libmozjs-24.so.
Gnome-shell stops crashing when rebuilding dev-lang/spidermonkey with USE="-jit", but it doesn't appear to work right (it looks to load correctly but after the task bar and decorations etc appear, everything appears frozen until I kill gnome-shell). I'll try rebuilding firefox with USE=-jit and seeing how that behaves. Until that build finishes, am I alone with this problem? Is there a workaround?
