I am trying to resize Gnome 3.22 icons in a couple of areas:
1. The Activities overview.
I have found alot of older data for solving this issue and I have tried it but have only solved part of the task.
I have tried this:
1. Edit
/usr/share/gnome-shell/theme/gnome-shell.css
2. Change the following:
From
Code:
/* App Vault/Grid */
.icon-grid {
  spacing: 30px;
  -shell-grid-horizontal-item-size: 136px;
  -shell-grid-vertical-item-size: 136px; }
  .icon-grid .overview-icon {
    icon-size: 96px; }

To
Code:
/* App Vault/Grid */
.icon-grid {
  spacing: 18px;
  -shell-grid-horizontal-item-size: 96px;
  -shell-grid-vertical-item-size: 96px; }
  .icon-grid .overview-icon {
    icon-size: 48px; }

The part that works is for the "grid" which is:
Code:
.icon-grid {
  spacing: 18px;
  -shell-grid-horizontal-item-size: 96px;
  -shell-grid-vertical-item-size: 96px; }

The icon resizing doesn't change at all even though I reduce it by half:
Code:
  .icon-grid .overview-icon {
    icon-size: 48px; }

So basically I can move the icons around / change the grid layout but can't resize the icons.

2. The Dash
I only found out dated solutions.
