Hello,

Does anybody know how to run wayland on gnome without gdm?

I've make test with gdm, I can choose wayland gnome and all is running fine. But I don't want to use gdm.
I've read gnome wiki and they suggest to run gnome-session --session=gnome-wayland.

When I run this from a tty I have:
Quote:
dbus-update-activation-environment: error: unable to connect to D-bus: Unable to autolaunch a dbus-daemon without a $DISPLAY for X11

Thanks

Edit:
I try
Code:
$ export (dbus-launch)
$ gnome-session --session=gnome-wayland     <---- Nothing happen. It return to prompt without the dbus error
$
$ gnome-session
Completed
$
