Hello!

I noticed the fact that finally kde pim is included in the kde-apps 5. 8)

According to package.mask it is still masked due to:
"KDE PIM 5 masked for wider testing."

Unfortunatelly no (tracker) bug is mentioned. I have not found any regarding bugs in bgo.
So my questions:

Does anybody already use it?
How was the migration?
How is kmail doing?

(For kde4 it already was a huge mess, I just dont want to trash pim again and restore everything from backup  )

Thanks!

I use kmail, korganize, kontact without any particular problem (with kmail sometimes I need to restart akonadi), but I use version 16.08.1 (no longer in portage) because version 16.08.1 need qt-5.7.
For migration I don't know because I went from thunderbird.

I'm just using akregator, and it worked as well as it ever did. I had no issues with migration, just opened it after upgrade and continued to use as normal.

I anticipate we can unmask kdepim5 as soon as Qt 5.7.1 is in the tree.

Good news, thanks for your work (and all other developers).

Great news! Thanks! (Qt 5.7.1 is scheduled for november.)

Anybody migrated to kde pim 5, especially with kmail+akonadi (filter rules, accounts, mails, ...).

I sort of migrated kdepim from 4 to 5. "sort of" in that I started with Gentoo, and ended with Arch (having run out of cpu cycles for building frameworks, plasma, QT, kdebase-meta, and so forth). AFAIR, there was no import/export or migration, it just used the same data copied from my home directory in the Gentoo partition to the Arch partition. I think I wiped the configuration files and started from scratch - it's a while ago.
