Hello, I'm running a new amd64 stable system with KDE.
There is a problem when emerging packages; with many packages it will give the output given below:

Code:

Everything will still emerge normally, but it's weird.
Running

I think that you must delete the mime that give you error in kde.xml file, and then rerun:

sudo update-mime-database /usr/share/mime

Perhaps save kde.xml file as .xml.old before you correct it.

Try it

I wouldn't do that -- it won't stick. Those mime types belong to the package

sci-chemistry/chemical-mime-data

and will just get re-installed the next time that package is updated. It may also break the application
that depends on chemical-mime-data, in my case the periodic table app Kalzium.

I'm looking for a workaround.

Jon.
