I can't get osu! (wine) to work on gentoo. It can't connect to the Internet. Although, it works perfectly fine on debian.
When I run it, it complains about missing RAS support. Switching rasapi32 to native in winecfg didn't solve the issue.
Worth mentioning, the problem exists in playonlinux too.

There's no guarantee that this will work, but I play osu! on Gentoo using this setup:
1. Create a 32-bit prefix for wine.
2. Install only dotnet40 through winetricks.
3. Run osu!install.
It's as simple as that. It didn't require any extra configuration through winecfg. osu! will not be able to connect to the Internet without a proper .NET installation.
*Note: Sometimes, the .NET 4.0 installer doesn't install properly, and you would have to retry. |
