So, first of all I'm new-ish to Gentoo.
I am having issues opening secondary LVM volumes via crypttab.
Crypttab: https://bpaste.net/show/40924f5830e9
fstab: https://bpaste.net/show/bfe8a3fa276e
lsblk: https://bpaste.net/show/9974c57c3b06
I'm using LVM and my initramfs was built wit: genkernel --luks --lvm initramfs (manual kernel compilation)
I should point out that my encrypted rootfs mounts fine. Genkernel was built with the crypt use flag.
I've been racking my brains over this.. _________________ JEEPEEJEE--BEGIN_BLOCK_McDATA

You have described in general terms what results you expect. Please describe specifically what happens instead. Are errors printed? Does the system act as if you had not configured any of this? |

No errors - it's just ignored. Nothing shows up in dmesg - perhaps my system is misconfigured? Anyway, i think the more elegant solution is to use the init script that comes installed with dmcrypt: _________________ JEEPEEJEE--BEGIN_BLOCK_McDATA
