Hope it is the right forum to ask: I have a machine with gentoo and it is working ok.
On the same machine I installed win7 on a separate Hard Drive. During win installation I disconnected gentoo Hard Drive.
Then I reconnected gentoo HD and gentoo booting ok. Then I wanted to run grub in order to have multiboot with win,
however I get strange outputs:
Code:
grub-mkconfig -o /boot/grub/grub.cfg
-su: grub-mkconfig: command not found

Code:
grub-install /dev/sda
-su: grub-install: command not found

I get the same outputs even after re-emerge grub:
Code:
emerge --ask sys-boot/grub:2

Please advise!

I installed sys-fs/ntfs3g and here os-prober:
Code:

Still issue with win:
Code:
grub2-mkconfig -o /boot/grub/grub.cfg

error: cannot read `/dev/sdb': Input/output error.

Maybe Hard Drive sdb has some harware failure...

Thanks

Normally in/out error is cause of hardware failure
