Minority few. Only those who are willing to pay a premium for nostalgia.

Anyone looking for rugged reliability have already bought a Toyota.

Interesting, and sad.

When I first read:
Quote:
Madrid said he drank when he was mounting tires. "I'd bring a thermos of screwdrivers with me."
I rather badly misinterpreted what was meant.

It sounds like having brought actual screwdrivers would have been too industrious.

The Chinese have inundated Wikipedia with racist cultural propaganda and historical revisionism. For example, they making ridiculous claims about being the greatest naval power in the world in the Middle Ages, based purely upon artwork that is itself based upon legends.

If they were the leading naval power, why wasn't Venice visted by some Chinese Marco Polo, instead of the other way around. Racist mind-virus pigs.

They visited pretty much everywhere else, and was the origin of the maps that led the Portuguese around.

More Chinese nonsense. The origin of the maps that led the Portuguese around was the Phoenicians.

I took a monstrous shit today at work; the kind that is bigger than the toilet was designed to handle, and it won't go around the curves in the pipe.

Then I went to Chipotle for lunch and ate a burrito of approximately the same size.

Think about it. It's a causality violation: proof that our universe must itself be moving faster than light.

True story, btw.

Edit: maybe I need to explain that. It's a causality violation because, if you ate a huge burrito and then took a monster shit of about the same size, clearly the cause of the huge shit would have been the burrito. A causes B. In order to do so, A must precede B in time.

But in this case, B preceded A. This is exactly as described in Einstein's Special Relativity, and it occurs when moving at light speed. Now, since speed is relative, we'd know if we were moving that fast by comparing our change in position to other objects in the universe. But, if the whole universe were moving at light speed, since the speed of light is absolute, we would experience causality perturbations.

I observe a causality perturbation; ergo, the universe must be moving at light speed.

But the truck is designed for doing that while carrying a couple of tons of cargo.

If that were true, they'd have planned to rebuild the Defender. The meeting would have gone something like this:

We can rebuild it. We have the technology. We have the capability to make the world's best off-road vehicle. The new Defender will be that vehicle. Better than it was before. Better... stronger... faster.

Nobody cares about the Defender. It was a peice of shit. The decision shut it was a profitable decision.

I never said it wasn't a profitable decision. The issue was about the brand.
