i need to find out the coomand (if there is) to format a fat32 or ntfs partition.

Do this:
Code:
# emerge ntfsprogs dosfstools


Then you should have mkfs.vfat (for FAT32) and mkntfs (for NTFS). :wink:

I haven't tried either one, so I can't be completely sure about how well they work.
