We tried to delete the file from /.subversion/auth/svn.ssl.server and execute the command , but it doesn't help, we get the prompt to accept the certificate again. any inputs?

Hi Lovika
it seems you have two problems: the certificate and the HTTP PROPFIND method used by your client; personally I don't use SVN, but I can give you a couple of tips:
  • Certificate validaiton: you should trust the Issuer, and not only the final certificate. This is supposed to work btw, but you can give it a try (this depends on your SVN client)
  • HTTP method: the error indicates that the webserver you are contacting is not properly configured, i.e. PROPFIND method is not allowed
