Hi
I am using KDE and I find it cool but I want to know whether there is a night mode in KDE and how to install it.
Kind Regards

That's a desktop feature, your choice of init system has nothing to do with it.

klas,

Being old fashioned, I use xflux, started when I run startx
.xinitrc:
# !/bin/sh
/opt/xflux -l 56 -g -3
exec mate-session

I use
Code:
kde-misc/plasma-applet-redshift-control

Works fine.

Is it ? redshift itself is shipped with systemd service files and can be used as a standalone service, without desktop. It is their statement that they do not support openrc yet.

You just use this:

and do not care about the service.

And starting with KDE Plasma 5.12.0, kwin will support nightmode natively, which means it also works in Wayland sessions.
