|
|
Hi Guys,
So far I never needed to install any software that was not available on portage, so now that I need to install one, I don't know what are the recommended procedures to do so.
What is the default directory for manually installed packages in gentoo? Are there any recommended procedures to avoid conflicts with portage?
Thank you.

According with dev manual /usr/local (Non-portage applications. Ebuilds must not install here.) seems like the best choice. _________________ Questions are guaranteed in life; Answers aren't. |
