|
|
Hi, all!
I'm installing Gentoo on a Blade 100 from the livecd. I'm doing a stage 1 install, which has been going well until I got to comiling the kernel. The compile errors out with the following message:
Code: | swap.c:1: parse error at null character
make[2]: *** [swap.o] Error 1
make[2]: Leaving directory `/usr/src/linux-2.4.22-sparc/mm'
make[1]: *** [first_rule] Error 2
make[1]: Leaving directory `/usr/src/linux-2.4.22-sparc/mm'
make: *** [_dir_mm] Error 2 |
Is anyone familiar with this, or can point me in the right direction?

Well, apparently, no one recognizes what the error is, so I suggest you
provide more details. Is this during a make vmlinux ?
Apparently the CFLAGS in your make.conf has an impact on how the
kernel is compiled - could they be too agressive?
It looks to me that memory management is a core part of the kernel
so I doubt it could have anything to do with your config options. |
