|This is a variation on the "USB thumb drives not notified via device notifier" problem.
I have three SD card USB readers.
Occasionally when inserting into the PC, KDE device notifier picks it up, but generally not.
Dmesg finds it:
[96218.783461] sd 11:0:0:2: [sdf] Attached SCSI removable disk
[96218.786693] sd 11:0:0:0: [sdd] Attached SCSI removable disk

df -h finds it:
Filesystem Size Used Avail Use% Mounted on
/dev/sda3 886G 586G 255G 70% /
devtmpfs 10M 0 10M 0% /dev
tmpfs 1.6G 1.5M 1.6G 1% /run
shm 7.9G 17M 7.8G 1% /dev/shm
cgroup_root 10M 0 10M 0% /sys/fs/cgroup
/dev/sda1 31M 22M 7.5M 75% /boot
/dev/md1 1.8T 1.7T 75G 96% /home
none 7.9G 84K 7.9G 1% /run/user/1000
But KDE device notifier insists that no device is attached.
How do I persuade it to play nicely?
If I remove the SD card reader and plug in a normal USB thumbdrive, KDE immediately picks it up.
Aren't they supposed to be treated the same by the OS?
