I'm new, and want combine Enlightenment and KDE/Gnome on gentoo

because i use hardened source, so i think i should choose hardened profile
eselect profile set hardened/linux/amd64
emerge plasma-meta
Quote:
Failed to emerge kde-plasma/kinfocenter-5.5.5

emerge kde-apps-meta
And got something like this:
Quote:
(package_name) pulled in by ....

emerge networkmanager
etc-update
-5
emerge networkmanager
rc-update add NetworkManager default
emerge networkmanagement

rc-update add sysfs default
rc-update add fsck default
rc-update add devfs default
rc-update add localmount default
rc-update add udev default
rc-update add root default
rc-update add bootmisc default
rc-update add modules default
rc-update add sysctl default
rc-update add procfs default
rc-update add swap default
rc-update add consolefont default
rc-update add hostname default
rc-update add hwclock default
rc-update add keymaps default
rc-update add termencoding default
rc-update add urandom default
rc-update add consolekit default

emerge kde-plasma/bluedevil
emerge kde-plasma/powerdevil

Then i booted into plasma desktop, try to connect wifi,
Then i got:
Quote:
No session found for uid 1000

Quote:
And i Can't mount hard disk partitions in dolphin

emerge dev-libs/efl
emerge -av enlightenment:0.17/0.20.5
etc-update
-5
emerge -av enlightenment:0.17/0.20.5
And Enlightenment always crash, no matter what i did:
Quote:
Please compile latest Git E and EFL with -g and -ggdb3 in your CFLAGS.

I am not sure why or how I am wrong and would love someone to point me in the right direction.

Some trouble is expected with kde-apps-meta when not used with plasma profile, but it should be easily solvable - we can help you there. Please note that to some extent you are on your own with hardened + Plasma-5, not many people have tried it yet - but some are right now, and any findings and fixes will likely enter the ~amd64 versions first. For runtime issues you could hang out in #gentoo-kde and try to reach those who are already experimenting with hardened.

Please pastebin full build.log

Sorry for late reply
I didn't paste log until now, because, before you reply me, i was switched to profile:
default/linux/amd64/13.0/desktop/plasma/systemd
because i want to know if these two problems will be solved
Quote:
No session found for uid 1000

And i Can't mount hard disk partitions in dolphin

Then i did:
emerge -ea @world(I don't even know if this is necessary after profile change, but i've done it)
emerge plasma-meta(successfully)
And i'm still compiling kde-apps-meta now(103/245)(it seems will be successful)

now i'm so confused with what's the diffrence between hardend profile and desktop profile(not plasma profile)
anyway, tonight i will switch to hardened / desktop profile, then i will face the same problem as this post again
And then i will pastebin log

The reason i don't want to use plasma profile is:
i only want to use app & system settings of kde/gnome with other desktop(Enlightenment)
The reason why i emerge plasma-meta on hardend profile is:
i also want to keep plasma/gnome desktop as a backup

Why do you switch to a systemd profile when you obviously have been using openrc so far?

I do run a hardened stable amd64 Gentoo Linux at my ThinkPad with stable KDE (plasma5 in the mean while).

Just do (from time to time) the following:

1. eselect the plasma profile
2. run "emerge --deep --update --newuse --changed-use --with-bdeps=y @world --pretend"
3. put appropriate USE flags into /etc/portage/make.conf
4. switch back to hardened profile
5 run the command w/o --pretend
6. enjoy

After successfully compile, i found i'm still using openrc when boot into system
May be i'm using plasma profile, wrong memory

emerge plasma-meta
emerge kde-apps-meta
Wasn't fix anything, except Enlightenment never crash now

The profile switch only affects package configuration, it does not do the migration openrc <-> systemd for you. It can cause all sorts of issues though due to wrong use flags.

DOn't do it -e is a,most not necessary nowadays,
Code:
--newuse --changed-use --with-bdeps=y --update --deep
is what you'd need after USE flag changes.

And FWIW:
if you edit your posts - then just append something and mark it with Update and /Update tags, don't delete things afterwards.

eselect profile set hardened/linux/amd64
emerge --deep --update --newuse --changed-use --with-bdeps=y @world
Then i found some error, so i deleted this file(I hope it isn't a mistake):
echo '' > /etc/portage/package.use/list
(I use --autounmask-write & etc-update -5 to this file)

emerge --deep --update --newuse --changed-use --with-bdeps=y @world
http://pastebin.com/tV2LjD0E
What should i do next ?

Masking doesn't help because installed packages were built against systemd, and will require it back unless rebuilt. Your paste is listing those packages. At least gentoo-systemd-integration will also need to be removed.
