I'm running stable on AMD64. I synced and updated world today, which gave a slew of KDE5 replacements for old KDE4 stuff. But I noticed some of the changes seem to have not happened correctly. (The issue may have arrived earlier, but it was today's updates that caused me to actually look at the changes and spot some inconsistencies.)
kuser, kfind, and kgpg all claim to have been updated to 15.12.3:
Code: | paul@acer ~ $ qlop -l kgpg kuser kfind
Thu May 26 09:56:30 2016 >>> kde-apps/kuser-15.12.3
Thu May 26 09:57:12 2016 >>> kde-apps/kgpg-15.12.3
Thu May 26 11:23:39 2016 >>> kde-apps/kfind-15.12.3
|
However,
Code: | paul@acer ~ $ kfind --version
Qt: 4.8.6
KDE Development Platform: 4.14.16
KFind: 2.0
paul@acer ~ $ kuser --version
Qt: 4.8.6
KDE Development Platform: 4.14.16
KUser: 3.9
paul@acer ~ $ kgpg --version
Qt: 4.8.6
KDE Development Platform: 4.14.16
KGpg: 2.17.0

What gives? _________________ Greybeard |

At least kuser and kgpg are not part of the meta ebuilds anymore because they collide with kdepim:5. kfind is indeed missing from kde-apps-meta depgraph.
If you want to keep these applications emerge them manually; be aware that a future kdepim upgrade will be causing a blocker. |

Well, I have merged them manually, and as above, get versions whose package claim KDE5 but --version claims KDE4.
Looking at the KDE developers' KF5 porting status, none of the three are ported, so why did the packages get a version bump? _________________ Greybeard |
