Warcraft 3 and Battle.net

Ok, just bought WC3 and single player and campaigns work well enough. I can't however get connected B.Net. When I try I get "Unable to validate game version. Try to reconnect or install patch manually." I'm sure its the no cd patch that is causing this, but have been unable to get around it. Im using cvs of winex from about a week ago. Does anyone know a way to get B.Net to work?

no battle.net with cracked .exe not with diablo2, warcraft2.bnet or war3
sorry to say but i dont think anyone has ever broken that protection

I found a way around the protection now. Thanx anyway.

It was actually pretty simple, prob why I overlooked it at first.

Install the game
Install the latest game patch, needs to be the same as B.Net is running(currently 1.01b)
now copy the War3.exe to something like War3orig.exe
now get your no-cd and patch the War3.exe (not the War3_orig.exe)
move the newly patched War3.exe to something like War3_NoCD.exe
you should now have a War3_orig.exe and a War3_NoCD.exe
now create a link War3.exe to point to War3_NoCD.exe, "ln -s War3_NoCD.exe War3.exe"
now run the game "wine War3.exe"
once they game starts, open a term and change the link to point back to the orignal exe.
rm War3.exe && ln -s War3_orig.exe War3.exe"
Now you can log onto B.Net:)

After the War3 has started it doesn't seem to check copy protection anymore, just remember to change the link back next time you want to start War3.
