Howdy.
I was just emerging Maxima...and it started compiling and cut out with this:
Code: |
;; Loading file /var/tmp/portage/maxima-5.9.0/work/maxima-5.9.0/src/maxima.system ...
; - Compiling defsystem "maxima"
; - Loading module "package"
; - Loading source file "maxima-package.lisp"
;; Loading file maxima-package.lisp ...
*** - REGEXP:REGEXP-COMPILE: keyword arguments in (T) should occur pairwise
0 errors, 0 warnings
make[1]: *** [binary-clisp/maxima.mem] Error 1
make[1]: Leaving directory `/var/tmp/portage/maxima-5.9.0/work/maxima-5.9.0/src'make: *** [all-recursive] Error 1
!!! ERROR: app-sci/maxima-5.9.0 failed.
!!! Function src_compile, Line 19, Exitcode 2
!!! (no error message)
|
Now, to me, there is no error. But, maybe I am mistaken. Any ideas what's up?

this is probably useless but.. have you tried removing the related distfiles and emerging again?
You might try relaxing your compiler flags or something too, just to test this. |

I checked /var/tmp/portage/maxima-5.9.0/work/maxima-5.9.0/src.
I suppose that in the Makefile, there is a problem with the pararagraph entitled" binary-clips/maxima.mem" (line 526 and others). However I do not see what should be modified in order to launch an efficient "make".
I also saw the note (5th. October 2003) in Changelog, but apparently nothing crucial for our problem. |

Well, I unmasked maxima 5.9.0-r2 from package.mask and emerged it. This version uses CMUCL from source instead of CLISP. I had no problems merging this version (I didn't try plain old 5.9.0). |
