KDE4 now uses Kscreen KCM for monitors and RandR setup
I dont like this thing. I want the standard Krandr as was used in all KDE4 releases since ever. Part of what package is the old thing, and are there ebuilds ? |

krandrstartup and krandrtray were replaced by kscreen in 2014.

It's a long time ago since I made the switch to kscreen, which was (still is?) activated by setting the kscreen USE flag in systemsettings:
Code: | $ eix systemsettings
[I] kde-base/systemsettings
Available versions: (4) 4.11.19(4/4.11)^t 4.11.22-r1(4/4.11)^t
{aqua debug gtk +handbook +kscreen opengl test +usb}
Installed versions: 4.11.22-r1(4)^t(00:28:39 13/03/16)(gtk handbook kscreen opengl usb -aqua -debug -test)
Homepage: https://www.kde.org/ https://userbase.kde.org/System_Settings
Description: System settings utility |
Not sure, but have you tried building systemsettings with USE="-kscreen"? _________________ Clevo W230SS: amd64 nvidia-drivers & xf86-video-intel.

Thing is, i see a package kde-misc/kscreen, so i assume it is not part of systemsettings ? |
