Hello all,
Recently I installed kodi (16.0) on my gentoo box (~amd64).
My main enviroment is Plasma and Kodi works fine on my main screen, which is connected to a dvi port. My television is connected by HDMI and I would like Kodi to display on that sceen by default. Normaly i could do that in the settings of Kodi but even when I select the HDMI output it keeps comming up on the mainscreen, leaving the television blanc with only the wallpaper on it.
Setting kodi windowed and swipe it to the televion works, but when going fullscreen it woeses back to the mainscreen.
Also the audio output doesn’t work over HDMI when selecting the output option in Kodi self, this works when I set the mainoutput to HDMI.
The above obnly apply when using Kodi on Plasma, when I try the same settings in Kodi with Awesome-wm it works like it should. Somehow Kodi and Plasma seem not to work well togheter evenso kodi works flawlessly when watching on the mainscreen.
Does anyone know how I can make Kodi work the way it should on Plasma?
Thx in advanced |

Use a Kwin rule for Kodi to always start it on a specific screen/monitor (I think screen 0 is the default X monitor).
System Settings - Window Management - Window Rules _________________ system: G751JT (ASUS-NotebookSKU); processor: Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-4710HQ CPU @ 2.50GHz; memory: 32GiB System Memory; display: GM204M [GeForce GTX 970M]; disk: 2048GB Samsung SSD 850;BD-CMB UJ172 S;1024GB Samsung SSD 850 |
