Why does the latest stable version of www-client/firefox have a lower version than www-client/firefox-bin? As of right now the former has 38.7.0 and the latter 38.8.0.
There are security patches that are missing from www-client/firefox, so this seems like it might be a big deal. |

That is what that particular bug is addressing.

So in other words, what you're saying is to stay away from www-client/firefox and use www-client/firefox-bin. |

deltamalloc ... no, what I'm saying is that the bug is being processed, *-bin packages tend to get stabilised quicker because there is less testing involved/required. I'd expect an updated package released within the next 24hrs.
