|

Hi, ALL,
Is it possible to add the configuration with the newly compiled kernel to GRUB2 existing configuration?
Its interface is completely changed and I'm now completely lost...
Thank you. |

charles17,
If I have
vmlinuz-x.x.x
vmlinuz-y.y.y
Does it generate 2 lines for me to select on reboot? Because I'm looking for 2 entries in the grub menu to select to boot to.
Thank you. |

It creates boot entries for all kernels found in /boot |

charles17,
Apparently it didn't I ran this command and when I rebooted, I saw only one line to select for the gub.
When I checked, it is the latest kernel - no old kernel configuration was present to select.
Luckily the new kernel booted successfully and I can now remove the old configuration...
Thank you. |
