I upgraded from KDE 4 to KDE 5/KF5/Plasma. Every second or third time I log in the "KWallet Migration assistant" pops up again and wants to migrate my passwords from the old wallet to the new one. But it has already done it! How do I tell KDE not restart the migration process over and over again?

In some other thread it was suggested to recompile "kde-apps/kdebase-runtime-meta" and unset the use-flag "oldwallet" (i.e. "-oldwalltet"). But this is not what I need. Sure it prevents the migration wizard from being built but it also disables the wallet support for legacy applications that still use the old wallet format and are not yet migrated to the new KDE 5 framework.

Interestingly, I have two identical setups (identical compiler settings, identical packages and nearly the same use-flags) but the problem only affects one installation.

The reason could be that on your second box, where it doesn't work, kwallet(d)-pam is not working properly? kwalletd-pam spawns some output in pkg_postinst.

The interesting lines are "Migration failed" and "Migration wizard returned an error or has been canceled. The migration agent will resume upon next daemon start". Unfortunately, it does not give any details about the reason of failing. However it seems that the migration actually worked, because I can see my passwords in the new wallet.
