|
|
glibc was updated recently
Since then i have problems. First problem resolved, moved to next one:
'failed to load steamui.so' error pops up and steam dies.
ldd to file in question(steamui.so):
linux-gate.so.1 (0xf77d2000)
libtier0_s.so => not found
libvstdlib_s.so => not found
libv8.so => not found
libvideo.so => not found
I doubt they are necessary for steam to work.
output of steam in console:

I think that the problem is of 32 - 64 bit:
Quote: |
ERROR: ld.so: object '/lib32/libpthread.so.0' .......
......
...... |
(note /lib32)
and:

Running Steam on gentoo 64-bit

While steam itself can run 64bit games, AFAIK it runs using 32bit libs itself. So, I don't think so. _________________ Just a user. |

Right now I am not sure any more of anything.
