Many programs survive from session to session in the sense that upon a restart, they restart to where I was (Firefox, kate, for example). Chromium has never done this for me. I would like to get Chromium do this as well. How should I go about arranging this? I'm using KDE Plasma 5 as my DE.

We haven't had Chromium or Chrome survive on any system across logouts (try it on OS X and Windows). The only thing Chrome can do is save the tabs you had open and resume (a setting). That is in the settings. If Chrome crashes, it can restore the tabs.

On KDE 4 it's the same and Chromium never re-opens on re-login for me. An auto-start script is your best bet for that.

These are bugs to report to Chromium upstream, but I doubt they'll ever listen:

- Does not re-open on KDE login
- Does not have enough window hint information for KDE's window management (and others like xprop)
