I use systemd-boot bootloader and i have this configuration file for gentoo:

Did your disks get detected?
Try going into the shell and see if 'dmesg' will display any drives (or some other script, I'm not sure what's on your initramfs). Or even blkid to list out uuids if it's on there.
Double check if your disk controller hardware is selected and detected in your kernel.

I think that the problem is in the config of the kernel and particulary in the config of the disk controller, because i tried to boot with a kernel of arch linux and gentoo boots ok.
