|
|
Hi there
I have an working Raspberry Pi 2 with gentoo (uname -r 4.1.4-v7+). I cant remember how I built my current kernel and what sources I used (I guess the one from raspberry git).
For some reason I need to go back to an earlier kernel version lower than 4.1.2 (*). So I decided to emerge gentoo-sources-4.1.17. I copied my current .config to the new(older) source and run oldconfig.
Of cause it did not boot and I got this huge color box on the screen.
So I ask if it's possible to create an kernel from gentoo-sources instead from github.com/raspberrypi/linux? Gentoo-sources seems to not contain "bcm2709_defconfig". Can I prepare somehow gentoo-sources for raspberry?
(*)because my wlan stick driver only work 5Ghz with lower kernels currently |

I used
to get kernel 4.1.17, followed this guide and everything compiled and booted without problems. |

Or are you adding details to what was working before, and you are still waiting for advice on compiling a custom kernel on RPi2? _________________ -= the D@7@k|n& =- |
