Since kernel 4.x, the lirc ebuild in the tree doesn't compile anymore, complaining about a changed structure missing f_dendry.
Anyway, I have been reading a bit about this, as it sems tço be a general problem. I understand that I need a new version of lirc that is not in the tree yet (but that some people have built overlay ebuilds for already).
The problem is that apparently, lirc doesn't provide drivers anymore, but refers to the drivers in the kernel. My problem is that I was using lirc_atiusb and cannot find the corresponding driver in the kernel. There is the driver ati_remote, but that makes the remote act as a keyboard, and has a fixed mapping to keys that doesn't fit my device.
So does someone know the right settings in the kernel to get lirc_atiusb.so (or whatever it is named now) ? |
