|
|
Hi community I'm doing a new install and I'm up to the kernel config.
The Gentoo sources are 4.1.15-gentoo-r1 and I need a driver mei_me
Now when I search it says
Symbol: INTEL_MEI_ME [=n]
│ Type : tristate
│ Prompt: ME Enabled Intel Chipsets
│ Location:
│ -> Device Drivers
│ (1) -> Misc devices
│ Defined at drivers/misc/mei/Kconfig:12
│ Depends on: X86 [=y] && PCI [=y] && WATCHDOG_CORE [=n]
│ Selects: INTEL_MEI [=n
But when I go there its not in the list at all.
Does anybody use the mei_me module?
I don't want to compile the kernel and have that not work.
Thanks |

When in make menuconfig use arrow right to see all options INTEL_MEI_ME depends on. |

Code: | Depends on: X86 [=y] && PCI [=y] && WATCHDOG_CORE [=n] |
You should look at that to activate MEI options. |

Buffoon and Vasettoo Thanks so much. It was watchdog_core that needed to be activated and then the modules for MEI showed up.
Once again Thanks
