hello,

I have a problem with my mouse in XFCE (for kde: same problem)
At start everything works normal. But the moment the screen goes blank or when using ctrl+alt+F(X) and getting back to the gui the mouse acts strange.
Instead of the mouse pointer a horizontal line appears. This can be moved with the mouse. Under the line the desktop is masked, above one can see the desktop.

I start XFCE as root. I 'm using a Wacom bamboo touchpad.

When the computer is restarted everything is normal again.

              xscreensaver will work.

I tried to remove the mouse/mousepad from the configuration-> result: no mouse + same problem
when I boot systemrescuecd (it has xfce): no problem

It would be interesting what driver you're using?
I see this on some of my graphics boards but not others, suspecting driver issues - not restoring cursor sprites correctly...

Recently I've taken a drastic workaround: never changing modes when possible...
