I'd like to set up my USB-HDD but i've no idea how to do that. Perhaps somebody can help me.

Well there is a whole lot of info on how to do this in these forums and also on the web. First of all you need to compile USB Storage Device support into your kernel (among other key things). I would recommend a thorough search. For starters though you can try here. Also you can check places like this which can lead you to other handy places like this! Boy this searching stuff can sure be fun, give it a whirl!
