Hi,

is there anybody who has working configuration for automounting USB disk with udisks ? (1 or 2 version, doesnt matter actually)
I cannot understand what all has to be configuring in system. Google seems also does not know ^^

My local user is added to plugdev[/code]

File /etc/polkit-1/rules.d/10-udisks2.rules
Code:

polkit.addRule(function(action, subject){
   if ((action.id == "org.freedesktop.udisks2.filesystem-mount-system" ||
            action.id == "org.freedesktop.udisks2.filesystem-mount") && subject.isInGroup("wheel")) {
      return polkt.Result.YES;
   }
});

polkit.addRule(function(action, subject){
   if ((action.id == "org.freedesktop.udisks.filesystem-mount-system" ||
            action.id == "org.freedesktop.udisks.filesystem-mount-system-internal") && subject.isInGroup("wheel")) {
      return polkt.Result.YES;
   }
});

Does not work at all.

What is working. Normaly mounting via mount / ntfs-3g /udisksctl mount <--- al this working fine. But i will be happy if the automounting will work also.

I am understand, that something is wrong but what !?

Plesae help.

Cheers,

I believe udisks does not mount the device automatically. As far as I understand there shall be a program that is called by device monitoring and that program already does the mounting. I'm using XFCE at home and there all I had to do was to provide "udisks" in USE and then install thunar and thunar-volman packages. After that I've enabled automounting in Thunar options and things started to work. (Well, almost. I've also had to introduce short delay into udev rules calling thunar, because otherwise it didn't see the device, but hopefully this is only glitch of my system).

I didn't have to touch polkit configuration.
