For some reason, I've lost all subtitles in both smplayer and VLC. Since both keeled over at the same time, I'm guessing neither is the culprit.
It worked earlier this week, I didn't change configurations, I didn't even update anything. The only change is that I installed virtualbox, but that's not even running at the moment.
Anyone got any idea what might be killing my subtitles?

Ok, more testing...
Removed the VLC and smplayer directories from ~/.config. Subtitles are back.
This is good, but I still don't understand how those configs managed to get themselves invalid in the first place. Somewhat frustrated here... |
