Hey. I'm having a weird problem that I've never encountered on previous installs.
I've tried many different themes, either placing them in /usr/share/themes for the most part (or ~/.themes), or installing a few (Numix, Vertex) through the terminal and no matter what they just end up looking like a palette swapped Adwaita
Here is what my Vertex and Solarized themes look like:

Here is what the themes should actually look like:
Vertex: https://github.com/horst3180/vertex-theme
Solarized: http://bitterologist.deviantart.com/art/Numix-Solarized-417575928
They just look like recoloured, slightly fat/skinny versions of the default. This is consistent with every theme I try, even Numix or its multiple derivatives. I've made sure that the proper engines are installed, but that doesn't seem to be the problem. Does anyone have any ideas of what I'm doing wrong? I've never had this problem on previous installs.
I'm on GTK 3.18. Thank you! |

First: Are your themes up to date? GTK+3 tends to break theme compatibility every other minor version. Also you might have stale files in ~/.config overriding whatever you set. |
