I updated my system yesterday and all of the sudden I can not get my Steam game Civilization 5 to start up. It fails silently, no error message or warning displayed at all.
Steam itself does run and I have verified the integrity of the game files. I have one other game (AdVenture Capitalist) installed in my Steam Library and that game will start up just fine.
If I try to run Civilization by starting it from the command line this is what is spit out to the console...

There are other errors and warnings in the full output that can be viewed by clicking the pastebin link but these messages appear just before it gives up so they may help to determine what the culprit is...

Thanks in advance for any help anyone can provide.

Seems this is related to new nvidia drivers, downgrading to 358.16-r1 sorted it out. |
