What flag to use for max performance

Hi all!

I want to get maximum performance out of my gentoo installtion! I have a Intel P4 1.5 ghz with 384 mb rdram. what flags should i use? Orwhat should i do to get the maximum performance?

I mean, what do you need?

X? yes / no
dvd? yes / no
imaging? yes / no
[...]

and ask again afterwards, if there are open questions.

one tipp: if you want to have your very special custom-only use-flags, you should use USE="-* <add your flags here>"

all default flags are switched off then.

i want maxmum perforance on all X DVD Imaging i read the use guide but i dont understand which to use anyway!
