Hi,

I just finished preparing an ebuild for media-sound/clementine-1.3_rc1 and am calling for testers.
I am mainly interested in build errors or other errors that can be fixed in the ebuild. Anything being broken inside of clementine belongs to their upstream bug tracker. You can find the ebuild in my personal overlay called "poly-c".

If you are giving that ebuild a shot please give feedback here in this thread.

Thanks and happy Gentooing.

Code:
emerge -av =media-sound/clementine-1.3_rc1
Identified a need for
Quote:
=media-libs/libmygpo-qt-1.0.8_pre ~amd64
=media-sound/clementine-1.3_rc1 ~amd64
in package.keywords. Then
Code:
emerge -av --verbose-conflicts =media-sound/clementine-1.3_rc1
produced slot conflicts .
Code:
emerge -uND world
had no problems. The slot conflict list seemed irrational and possibly related to dependencies in ibmygpo-qt-1.0.8_pre and/or clementine-1.3_rc1. Tried
Code:
emerge -av =media-libs/libmygpo-qt-1.0.8_pre
which identified a need for
Quote:
=dev-qt/qttest-4.8.7 ~amd64
after which libmygpo-qt-1.0.8_pre emerged with no problem. Then
Code:
emerge -av =media-sound/clementine-1.3_rc1
identified a need for
Quote:
=dev-qt/qtopengl-4.8.7 ~amd64
after which
Code:
emerge -av =media-sound/clementine-1.3_rc1
had no problems. Clementine opened and looks good.
This system is mostly stable but has a fair amount of testing ebuilds included. I don't expect an all ~amd64 system to have these glitches. Will test on one and report.
my emerge --info here

Hi,

thanks for your feedback. The slot conflict came from dev-qt/qtopengl which was not ~arch like the other qt-4 packages you have installed.

I am not sure clementine-1.3 really needs libmygpo-qt-1.0.8 but the cmake file even requires version 1.0.9 which isn't even released yet. I had to patch that away or else clementine would have used its bundled version.

On kde-plasma5/qt testing level system this was the only dependency required and it compiled fine and seems to work so far:

# required by media-sound/clementine-1.3_rc1::poly-c
# required by @selected
# required by @world (argument)
=media-libs/libmygpo-qt-1.0.8_pre ~amd64
