KDE unable to save bookmarks

Hello everybody,
First things first this is my first installing gentoo and have seem to come across an issue. When I boot into kde by either using startx or when it opens automatically, kde gives me an error that says, "Unable to save bookmarks in /home/john(my username)/.locale/share/user-places.xbel. Reported error was: Insufficient permissions in target directory. This error message will only be shown once. The cause of the error needs to be fixed as quickly as possible, which is most likely a full hard drive." Please help.
