Hi Leute,

wenn ich im Laptop eine SD-Karte einlege, kommen keine Meldungen im dmesg Fenster.
Wie aktiviere ich den SD-Karten leser? Wie finde ich den richtigen Treiber?

Es gibt Laptops bei denen der Kartenleser erst am PCI/USB-Bus erscheint wenn auch etwas drin steckt, also einfach mal was rein stecken und mit lspci/lsusb nachsehen. Sobald es dort angezeigt wird dürfte es auch einfach sein in der Kernelconfig einen Treiber dafür zu finden.

Ich habe hier schon zwei Karten in den Schlitz gesteckt und keine hat eine Änderung bei lspci oder lsusb gebracht.
Bewusst habe ich zwei Karten genommen, falls eine davon defekt ist. Aber die sollten beide in Ordnung sein.
Keine Anzeige keine Änderung.

Ich würde mal sagen genau das ist ist er und wenn er meinem (10ec:8168) ähnlich ist sollte das Modul "rtsx_pci" der richtige Treiber sein.

Depends on: CONFIG_MMC && CONFIG_MFD_RTSX_PCI

Hi,

danke das mit dem Treiber war ein 100% Treffer.
Modul im Kernel aktiviert und schon läuft das mit der SD-Karte.

Ich sehe da auch keinen, also könnte das tatsächlich einer von denen sein die erst am PCI/USB-Bus erscheinen wenn auch etwas drin steckt. Auch wäre es möglich das dein Kartenleser erst über rfkill "eingeschaltet" werden muss, ähnlich wie manche Bluetooth/WLAN-Chips.
Dazu kommt noch das bei manchen Geräten der Kartenleser sich seinen USB-Anschluss mit einem Steckplatz an der Seite teilen muss. Wenn das der Fall ist funktioniert der Kartenleser natürlich nur wenn an dem betroffenen Steckplatz nichts eingesteckt ist.

Also unter Win wird das Ding als Realtek PCIE Cardreader angezeigt.
Ob eine Karte drin ist oder nicht ändert nichts.
Unter dmesg kommen keine Meldungen.

In den sources hab ich auch nichts spezielles für realtek cardreader gefunden:
