I've installed KDE Plasma in a new installation of Gentoo.
When I open kdehelpcenter and I select one content item, it shows an error and it doesn't show the help:

You need to build it with the handbook USE flag enabled.

But this USE flag says: 'Enable handbooks generation for KDE4.'. Moreover, if I enable this USE flag:
Code:
$ emerge --update --ask --deep --with-bdeps=y --newuse @world
[blocks B      ] kde-apps/kdesu[handbook] ("kde-apps/kdesu[handbook]" is blocking kde-plasma/kde-cli-tools-5.5.1)

That block could be avoided by building kde-apps/kdesu without the handbook USE flag.

Thanks, but it seems that handbook USE flag isn't enough to build help pages. Now /usr/lib64/qt5/plugins/kf5/kio/help.so exists but the help (html) files no:
Code:
The help file or folder: /plasma-desktop/index.html doesn't exist.

Is plasma-desktop built with the handbook USE flag too?

Could it be a problem of FEATURES='nodoc' in make.conf?

That sounds right - KDE handbooks are installed to /usr/share/doc/HTML/.

If I suppress that FEATURE, what packages I have to rebuild? All KDE?

Pretty much any KDE package that has a handbook USE flag.

It was that but I think this behavior is incorrect. 'nodoc' shouldn't delete the KDE help files.

The man page describes nodoc as Do not install doc files (/usr/share/doc), so I think that behaviour is expected.

This case is different. The KDE help pages aren't typical docs, they are like man pages.
